Password Reset & Email Verification
How to reset your password and verify your email address.
Overview
Two common account tasks are resetting a forgotten password and verifying your email address. Both are handled through the Accoraze platform using the email associated with your account.
Resetting Your Password
When to Reset
Reset your password if:
- You have forgotten your current password
- You suspect someone else knows your password
- You want to change your password for security reasons
Steps to Reset
- Go to the Accoraze login page at app.accoraze.com
- Click Forgot Password or Reset Password
- Enter your email address
- Check your inbox for an email from no-reply@accoraze.com (or the platform email address)
- Click the Reset Password link in the email
- Enter your new password
- Confirm the new password
- Click Save or Reset Password
- Sign in with your new password
Password Requirements
- Minimum 8 characters
- Mix of letters and numbers recommended
- Avoid common words and predictable patterns
If You Do Not Receive the Email
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Make sure you entered the email address correctly
- Wait a few minutes — emails can take a few minutes to arrive
- If still no email, try requesting another reset
- Contact support if the email never arrives
Verifying Your Email Address
Why Verification Is Needed
Email verification confirms that your email address is valid and that you own it. It is required to:
- Fully activate your Accoraze account
- Receive password reset emails
- Receive account notifications
Steps to Verify
- Sign up for Accoraze (or change your email address)
- Check your inbox for a verification email from no-reply@accoraze.com (or the platform email address)
- Click the Verify Email link in the email
- You are redirected to Accoraze and your email is confirmed
Resending the Verification Email
- Sign in to Accoraze
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Click Resend Verification Email
- Check your inbox
If Verification Emails Are Not Arriving
- Check spam/junk folders
- Make sure your inbox is not full
- Try adding no-reply@accoraze.com to your safe senders list
- Contact support if the problem persists
Platform Email vs. Business SMTP
It is important to understand the difference:
- Platform email — Handles password resets, email verification, and system notifications. Uses the Accoraze platform email address. Works automatically without any configuration.
- Business SMTP — Sends customer-facing emails (invoices, receipts) from your own business email. Requires SMTP configuration in Settings → SMTP.
Password reset and email verification emails always work because they use the platform email system.
Keeping Your Account Secure
- Use a unique password — Do not reuse passwords from other sites
- Verify your email — This ensures you can receive password reset emails
- Review security logs — Check Security Logs regularly for unfamiliar activity
- Remove unused users — Deactivate users who no longer need access to reduce risk
