Email & SMTP Settings
Configure your business email address so Accoraze can send invoices and receipts to your customers.
Overview
Accoraze uses SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) to send customer-facing emails from your own business email address. This includes invoices, receipts, and order confirmations sent to your customers.
Why SMTP Matters
Without SMTP configured:
- System emails (password resets, verification) still work using the platform email
- Customer emails (invoices, receipts) are not sent automatically
With SMTP configured, invoices and receipts can be emailed directly to customers from your business address.
What You Need
To configure SMTP, you need access to your email provider's SMTP settings:
- SMTP Host — The server address provided by your email service
- SMTP Port — Usually 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
- Username — Your business email address
- Password — An app password or SMTP password from your email provider
- From Name — The sender name shown in emails (usually your business name)
Common SMTP providers include Gmail, Outlook, SendGrid, Mailgun, and your web hosting provider.
Setting Up SMTP
- Go to Settings → SMTP or Settings → Email
- Enter your SMTP host, port, username, and password
- Set the From Name (your business name)
- Test the connection to verify it works
- Save the settings
Testing
After saving, try sending a test invoice or receipt by email to confirm delivery works.
Staff Invitation Email
Accoraze can send staff invitation emails from your business email address when you invite new team members. This requires SMTP to be configured.
