Export Data

How to export your data from Accoraze and common mistakes to avoid.

Overview

Exporting data lets you download your Accoraze records as CSV files for backup, migration, or analysis in external tools like spreadsheets or accounting software.

What You Can Export

ModuleExport Available
ProductsYes
CustomersYes
SuppliersYes
OrdersYes
ExpensesYes

Exports include all fields available in the system for that module.

Steps to Export

  1. Go to the module you want to export (Products, Customers, etc.)
  2. Click Export or Download
  3. Optionally apply filters (date range, category, status)
  4. Click Download CSV
  5. The file is downloaded to your device

Export Filters

Before exporting, you can filter the data to export only what you need:

By Date Range

Export records from a specific period (e.g., orders from the last 6 months).

By Category

Export only products, customers, or expenses in a specific category.

By Status

Export only records with a specific status (e.g., completed orders, active products).

By Customer or Vendor

Export records for a specific customer or supplier.

Export File Format

Exported files are CSV with:

  • UTF-8 encoding — Special characters are preserved
  • Comma-separated — Standard CSV format
  • Column headers — First row contains field names
  • All fields — Every field available for the module is included

Using Exported Data

In Spreadsheets

Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets for analysis, filtering, and custom reporting.

In Accounting Software

Export expenses and sales for use in external accounting systems.

For Migration

Export all data before migrating to another system.

For Backup

Download regular exports as a backup layer beyond Accoraze's automatic backups.

Common Export Mistakes

Forgetting Filters

If you need all data, make sure no filters are applied. Filtered exports only include matching records.

Mixing Data Types

Do not combine exports from different modules into one file. Each module exports separately.

Opening in Wrong Application

Some spreadsheet applications (notably older versions of Excel) may not handle UTF-8 encoding correctly. Use a modern version or Google Sheets for best results.

Large Exports Timing Out

For very large datasets, export in smaller batches using date filters rather than one large export.

What Is Not Exported

  • Users and roles (manage manually)
  • Activity and security logs (view in platform)
  • Business settings and branding (configured in platform)
  • Report templates and saved views
