Local VPS Backup
How the local server backup works and what it covers.
Overview
Local VPS backup refers to the backup copies of your Accoraze data stored on the local server or virtual private server where Accoraze is hosted. These backups are managed by the Accoraze infrastructure and are not directly accessible to business users.
How It Works
Accoraze runs on servers that perform regular automatic backups. These backups include:
- Business database (products, customers, orders, expenses)
- Configuration settings
- User data (linked to your business)
Backups are created at scheduled intervals and stored on the server. The exact schedule and retention period depend on the hosting configuration.
What You Should Know
Access to Local Backups
Business users do not have direct access to server-level backups. This is managed by the Accoraze infrastructure team for security and stability reasons.
Difference from User-Configurable Backups
- Server-side backups — Created and managed by Accoraze infrastructure. Not directly accessible to users.
- Local downloads — You can manually download a backup of your data through the Backup section.
- Google Drive backup — If enabled, your data is automatically synced to your own Google Drive account.
When Local Backups Are Used
Server-side backups are primarily used by the Accoraze team for:
- Disaster recovery
- Infrastructure migration
- Data restoration after technical issues
Best Practice: Supplement with Your Own Backups
Do not rely solely on server-side backups. Create your own safety net by:
- Downloading regular exports — Use the Export Data feature to download CSV copies of your products, customers, and orders
- Setting up Google Drive backup — If available on your plan, enable Google Drive backup for automatic off-server copies
- Storing exports safely — Save downloaded CSV files in a secure location (cloud storage, external drive)
Backup Schedule
Accoraze creates server-side backups at regular intervals. The exact frequency and retention policy may vary. For details on the current backup schedule, contact the support team.
